At CND, we change lives. Your support of our mission work helps us provide the highest quality care to adults needing mental health and substance abuse treatment; and we continue to provide prevention and leadership education to youth in Franklin County!

With 5 service locations in Columbus, CND reaches the most at-need populations in our community and responds to community needs, serving inner-city, economically distressed neighborhoods.
CND provides mental health & substance use disorder treatment to adults. We also work with youth providing violence and substance use prevention education. Our third area of service is partnering with the City in the APPS program doing violence and gang-intervention work.
With youth, we hold our summer camp in the Hilltop area and partner with CMHA to provide a camp experience to some of their communities. We have taken high school students on a college tour over spring break for 30 years. We mentor and tutor youth in more than 20 Columbus City schools.
That’s not all. We have a recovery house, referred through our treatment program, that houses 5 men in recovery. About 20% of the clients we serve are homeless. We treat anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. (you read that right). Our work is successful when we can help people that need help, removing the barriers that interfere with their recovery and by providing individualized treatment sensitive to cultural, gender, and ethnic factors.
